The In-Home & Mobile CE Ecosystem of the Connected Consumer, 2017
In the ninth iteration of this annually updated report, this report describes via primary research the media device ecosystem of US broadband households and the ‘connected consumers’ that inhabit it. In the years that TDG has compiled this report, we have seen the growth of home networks to almost saturation level. Surprisingly, smartphones still have some growth potential, as do internet-connected TVs.
This report describes via primary research the consumer electronic (CE) and personal computer (PC) ecosystem of the US broadband household, including:
1. The types of devices present;
2. The location of these devices within the broadband home; and
3. The connectivity status of these devices in general and by room.
