Patrick Perez is a digital professional and multi-platform specialist with a stellar track record generating multi-million dollar returns within the digital ecosystem: SVOD, OTT, mobile, authentication, digital Pay-Per-View, and other digital platforms. He has a unique blend of tech, digital, and media experience in leading strategic digital initiatives and full-cycle product management for startups, major media networks, and sports entities.
Most recently, Perez was with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he managed the execution of the organization’s digital global strategy, operations, and distribution. This included ideation and product management of the organization’s OTT subscription service – UFC FIGHT PASS. Under his helm, he leveraged more than 50,000 hours of archival and television content. He was responsible for countless live streams from around the globe, including some of the biggest sports events in history. He and his team also created new, original programming, utilized on promotional and social platforms to drive conversion and drive Pay-Per-View sales. These efforts drove revenue above and beyond company projections, making UFC FIGHT PASS a multi-million dollar revenue source, and the centerpiece of the valuable digital business. As a result, his efforts were the foundation of a massive sale of the UFC to WME-IMG for $4.2 billion, the largest sale in sports history.
Prior to his tenure at the UFC, Perez directed the digital division of FOX Cable Network’s action sports network, FUEL TV. There, he was responsible for strategy, including the website, electronic sell-through, wireless, original digital content, and podcasts. Along with Newscorp, he led the company’s efforts as strategic launch partner of Hulu. He also oversaw numerous digital milestones at the network, including numerous live sports webcasts from around the world, and the first ever live cut-ins.
Patrick graduated from San Diego State University and lives in the Los Angeles area.
